Alex McLeish has defended his and the board's decision to insist Aston Villa's players live near to the club's Bodymoor Heath training ground.[LNB] Any new signings - or current players given contract extensions - must live within one hour of the training complex.[LNB]Several of the current squad have been commuting from areas outside of the new guidelines.[LNB]But McLeish said: "We want them within an hour of the training ground.[LNB]"If you are going to travel over an hour to two hours in the morning in heavy traffic, that's stressful.[LNB]"It's better to get out of your bed and travel 20 minutes to the training ground.
