Keep off Barry, Young and Agbonlahor: O'Neill vows to resist big four offers

Martin O'Neill is confident Aston Villa can "withstand" the interesthe is anticipating from the Barclays Premier League's top four in hisleading players this summer.   Gareth Barry's future will inevitably again come under themicroscope - particularly as the England midfielder has only one yearleft of his current deal. Who's gone - and who's going - from every club But the likes of PFA Young Player of the Year Ashley Young and runner-up Gabriel Agbonlahor are also likely to be in demand after helping Villa clinch a Europa League spot.   O'Neill said: 'Will be fending of inquiries for players? Players are under contract. That is vitally important.   'I would be surprised if some people were not inquiring about our players - big teams - but I am hoping we will be able to withstand that.   'With Gareth, you do accept - having spent 10-11 years at the club - he would be wanting to have a look at other particular things.  Close watch: O'Neill knows he must keep the likes of Gabriel Agbonlahor 'Are Villa no longer a selling club? At the moment we are pretty vibrant. It will be up to us to try and maintain that.   'I just think there is a bit of something about the side here we would like to continue trying to improve.' O'Neill will put the emphasis on bringing in quality this summer although he recognises the need to add depth to his squad.   He said: 'If you are prioritising, quality is essential. Yes, we have had some benefits from fielding a settled side this season.   'But you realise now, when you look at Manchester United, and the changes all the top sides can make, how important it is to be able to do that.'
