JAMIE REDKNAPP'S WEEKEND WATCH: Berbatov needs to just cool it

05 October 2009 10:38
Of all the strikers in the Barclays Premier League, including Fernando Torres and Didier Drogba, Dimitar Berbatov has the best technique. It's time to stop being enigmatic. He tries too hard to look cool. Double TopsIt's great to see Sunderland playing with two strikers at Old Trafford (both scored). Steve Bruce should have been rewarded with his first win over Sir Alex Ferguson. Maybe other teams will follow his lead.   Well done, Paul Hart. He's had no money and few players but has continued to manage and conduct himself with dignity - and they haven't been thumped too often. Pompey needed a little luck. David James' late save gave them that. West Ham are in trouble because they don't have enough goals in the team. If Carlton Cole doesn't score, who else will? How wise was it to sell James Collins (right) to Aston Villa? They haven't won since.  Pardew's ProgressSouthampton's 4-1 win over Gillingham took them on to plus points after starting the season with a 10-point deduction. Alan Pardew is a better boss than his recent record suggests. The club's recovery is in good hands.  And finally...I had a weekend off playing at the Dunhill Masters and it's been amazing, havingqualified to play at St Andrews on Monay with Rory McIlroy, his dad and Luke Donald.  Makes those days hacking around worthwhile.
