James Collins feels like a stranger at Aston Villa after move from West Ham

Collins switched one shirt of claret for another when he joined Villa from West Ham on deadline day but following the £6 million move, he teamed up with his Wales team-mates for World Cup duty. "It has been a strange old couple of weeks so far and I was glad to get a game under the belt so I could take my mind off things going on at club level," he said. "But I am looking forward to getting up to Villa and getting started. It is strange, I said it to my wife and family, that it does not feel as if I have joined a new club yet. I can't wait to get in and meet the lads and play on Sunday." Collins, who scored for Wales in the 3-1 defeat against Russia, is looking forward to the atmosphere of a tempestuous derby game. "It is quite tasty. I have obviously heard a lot about it, and how passionate a derby it is and it is a game to look forward to, something to get my teeth into. "I am passionate about every game and derbies are a little bit spicier and have more about them," added Collins. Collins was on the bench at Upton Park when West Ham's Carling Cup tie with Millwall was ruined by three pitch invasions and he added: "It was a bit of a crazy night then also. "So hopefully we don't see anything of what we saw that night. No one wants to see that on a pitch and hopefully it is a good game."
