Injured Herd returns to Villa Park
On-loan Lincoln midfielder Chris Herd has returned to Aston Villa after suffering a season-ending injury during the defeat to Notts County.[LNB] Herd was forced off early in the second half of the 3-1 loss on Tuesday night and scans have revealed the 21-year-old has medial ligament damage that will keep him out for at least a month, thus meaning he will not feature again this campaign.[LNB]Herd joined Lincoln towards the end of November and made 22 appearances for the League Two club in all competitions scoring four goals.
