Heskey: Villa hopes fading away

The 31-year-old joined the club from Wigan in January for £3.5million with the club sitting fourth, three points above Arsenal and just three points behind leaders Manchester United.[LNB]But after picking up just three points from a possible 24, Villa have seen their hopes of qualifying for next season's Champions League collapse before their eyes.[LNB]After Saturday's 1-1 home draw with West Ham, Martin O'Neill's men find themselves seven points behind the fourth-placed Gunners having played a game more.[LNB]"It is hard for all of us. We have to turn it around," the England international told The Sun.[LNB]"There were so many highs this season, there were bound to be a few lows. I'm still happy I am here and I want to do well for Villa.[LNB]"It is going to be hard to get into the Champions League this season but this can be like a stepping stone.[LNB]"This club is trying to break into that top four and hopefully we can do it."
