Michael Owen has not scored since January and it is easy to see whythe Newcastle striker may not be too confident about his team'sprospects against decent teams.[LNB]But concentrating on only two of the club's remaining four gameswould surely be sporting suicide when they are fast becoming favouritesfor relegation.[LNB]Owen seems to have almost given up on getting anything fromLiverpool or Aston Villa. 'Being realistic, it's the home games thatare our major focus,' Owen said, as if Newcastle have the luxury ofchoosing their battles at this stage of the season.[LNB] [LNB]On his knees: Michael Owen has written off two of Newcastle's last four matches[LNB]However, they have not been much better at St James' Park than theyhave on the road this season and facing teams with nothing to play forhas got to be to their advantage.[LNB]Villa can barely remember how to win these days and when upwardlymobile Fulham and relegation-threatened Middlesbrough are the twoopponents in their sights it is like Owen hasn't even bothered to lookat the form book.[LNB]   More from Hatchet Man... HATCHET MAN: Even Benitez wouldn't try and replace Alonso with Barry a second time - he's not that mad29/04/09 HATCHET MAN: Forward thinking?
