Harry runs rule over Celtic's Brown but Spurs boss could get McGeady

Harry Redknapp's presence in the crowd at Celtic Park on Wednesday has renewed speculation that the Tottenham boss is about to bid for Celtic's Scott Brown. But there are also claims that Redknapp was in fact watching Brown's teammate Aiden McGeady during Arsenal's win over Celtic in the Champions League playoff first leg.  Spurs assistant manager Kevin Bond joined his boss in Glasgow for a scouting mission that originally focused on Brown but could lead to a £5million bid for McGeady, according to the Scottish Sun. Although Brown failed to deliver during the home side's limp 2-0 defeat, McGeady was the one bright light for Celtic as the Republic of Ireland international's pace and trickery caught the eye on the left wing. Spurs could still bid for Brown, however, with a £10million move mooted for the 24-year-old midfielder, and although Redknapp has admitted that he is looking for one or two more additions to the squad, he may have to sell first. Jermaine Jenas and David Bentley have been strongly linked with a move to Aston Villa and the departure of either would create a space in the squad for a midfielder such as either Brown or McGeady.
