Habib Beye set for Ipswich deal

In demand: Ipswich are keen on Beye [LNB]Ipswich manager Paul Jewell is trying to seal a loan deal for Aston Villa defender Habib Beye. [LNB] Beye does not feature in Gerard Houllier's plans having failed to earn a start since playing in the Carling Cup victory over Burnley back in October. [LNB]And the 33-year-old is keen to put himself in the shop window as he eyes a summer move back to France. [LNB]Ipswich have also snubbed a bid from Swansea City to take Jason Scotland on an emergency loan until the end of the season. [LNB]Striker Scotland, 31, was keen to re-sign for the Liberty Stadiumoutfit where he scored more than 50 goals in two seasons but Ipswichhave blocked a possible three-month deal.
