Ian Holloway has blasted Aston Villa's attempt to 'steal' Charlie Adam and hit out at their bid for the midfielder in the week they spent £24million on Darren Bent. [LNB]The Blackpool manager is furious with a lack of respect from Villa and accused them of trying to unsettle Adam, who has been one of the stars of the season. [LNB]It is a second attack in as many weeks on Villa from Holloway, who last week said Gerard Houllier's side were 'not good enough' for Adam after they bid £3.5m, which the Blackpool boss felt was derisory. [LNB]Read Steve Bruce's attack on Gerard Houllier: 'He didn't even call me' On the warpath: Ian Holloway has once again blasted Aston Villa's conduct over their pursuit of Charlie Adam[LNB]Holloway is resigned to losing his star player but says the Scottish midfielder is worth £46m the amount Blackpool will receive if they secure their Premier League future. [LNB]He said: 'Aston Villa are a massive club, but how can they rate Darren Bent at that sort of figure and offer me that for Charlie? It is quite derisory.[LNB]'The midfielder they've bought for £6m (Jean Makoun) says it all. If he is better than Charlie, I might as well pack it in.[LNB] No contest: Holloway reckons Jean Makoun (left) is not a patch on Charlie Adam[LNB]'They are trying to steal Charlie from me. I'm resigned to losing Charlie, but it should all be done respectfully, not by letting it be known you've made this bid or that bid. [LNB]'How do I work out what that market value is when clubs are paying ludicrous amounts of money for people I don't see as being as good as Charlie? [LNB]'Someone can come in all they like, but it's not his choice and it's not their choice. He belongs to us and he is contracted for 18 months. [LNB] Under fire: Gerard Houllier's conduct has been questioned by Steve Bruce and Ian Holloway[LNB]'It's unsettling, and probably deliberate. But Charlie is our player, and he is playing well for us. He knows that if that's all they rate him as worth, why should he go there anyway? Stop insulting us, and don't insult Charlie.'[LNB]Adam has helped Blackpool into 10th place, six points above the drop zone.[LNB] Show some respect!
