Gabby shrugs off cat-calls

Gabby Agbonlahor has shrugged off the criticism he received at the weekend from sections of the Aston Villa crowd. There were cheers when Agbonlahor's number was held up at Villa Park, with the player substituted in the second half of Sunday's 2-1 defeat to Tottenham. Villa's loss of form of late has coincided with a barren run in front of goal for Agbolahor, although O'Neill was critical of those supporters that turned on their own player. While his manager fumed at the treatment he received, Agbonlahor insists it is water off a duck's back and has vowed to prove his detractors wrong between now and the season's close. "If you look at last season, it was the same then," he told the Express and Star. "The goals will come, they always do. I'm not worried at all to be honest. "We have been unlucky the last few games. I think people forget the number of goals I have scored. It really doesn't bother me what people say."
