Fulham and Blackburn ready to open talks with ex-Liverpool star Luis Garcia
Luis Garcia has been given the green light to open talks with Fulham and Blackburn Rovers.
Atletico Madrid are happy to sell the former Liverpool midfielder, but he is likely to have to lower his high wage demands to secure a move back to the Barclays Premier League.
Benfica, Porto, Zenit St Petersburg and Dinamo Moscow are also interested in the 31-year-old, but England is his preferred destination.
He would be reluctant to join Championship club West Bromwich Albion, while reported interest from Aston Villa has not been followed up with a formal approach.
Garcia has one year left on his current deal but has become a bit-part player who Atleti want to shift off their wage bill.
