Everton v Villa preview

Two in-form sides go head-to-head when Everton take on Aston Villa in the FA Cup fifth round at Goodison Park on Sunday.[LNB] The Toffees - who are sixth in the Premier League - have tasted defeat just once in their last 12 league and cup games, while Villa are unbeaten in 16 domestic league and cup games to sit in third in the table.[LNB]David Moyes' side earned the right to take on Martin O'Neill's team thanks to a famous victory over arch-rivals Liverpool in the last round when Dan Gosling scored a last-gasp extra-time replay winner as the tie seemed destined to go to penalties.[LNB]But they know they face a tough task against visitors Villa, who are on a record-breaking away run in the Premier League.[LNB]The Midlands outfit have won their last seven away fixtures on the bounce - the first time that feat has been achieved in the club's history - including a 3-2 victory over the Toffees at Goodison Park back on 7th December.[LNB]While Villa will be concentrating on a top four finish in the league this term, O'Neill will demand his side - who beat Doncaster 3-1 in a replay in the last round - give their all here.[LNB]Everton team newsThe Toffees are hopeful that midfielder Marouane Fellaini will be fit for the game after he picked up a back injury in the fourth round replay with Liverpool.[LNB]He missed last weekend's 3-0 win over Bolton in the hope that the time off would enable him to make the Villa clash.[LNB]But on-loan hot-shot Jo, who scored twice on his debut against the Trotters, will be cup-tied after coming on as a substitute in Man City's 3-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest.[LNB]Steven Pienaar will also be missing as the midfielder has been ruled out for two weeks after he picked up a hamstring injury.[LNB]Villa team newsVilla will be without stand-in skipper Gareth Barry for the clash after the England midfielder collected his fifth booking of the campaign during the 2-0 win at Blackburn last time and must serve a one-match suspension. Steve Sidwell is the likely candidate to replace the 28-year-old.[LNB]Carlos Cuellar and Nigel Reo-Coker are also set to miss the game as both have suffered hamstring problems which could keep them out for up to two weeks.[LNB]But, on a more positive note, Villa are optimistic defender Luke Young will have recovered from the toe injury which forced him to withdraw from the England squad to face Spain in midweek.[LNB]
