Richard Dunne is optimistic Aston Villa will enjoy a positive season and believes his new club have a team spirit that money cannot buy. Republic of Ireland defender Dunne joined Villa from Manchester City before the close of the summer transfer window and was initially disappointed at being moved on. However, Dunne has made an immediate impact at Villa, scoring against his former club and in Saturday's 2-1 victory over Chelsea. He has also formed a solid partnership with fellow new boy James Collins and has been impressed by the level of camaraderie within the Villa squad. "I left Man City and that was it," said Dunne. "As soon as you come somewhere else there is no point moping about and being sulky. "I have come here and want to try and blend in as quickly as I could and thankfully everyone has been really good. "You can't buy what we have got here. You can see the team spirit when we go out and play games due to the amount of work we are putting in for each other. "People are always going on about the bigger clubs who have spent a lot more money. But it is all down to the attitude of the players and the attitude here is second to none. "The team spirit is spilling out into our performances and as long as we keep working as hard, we will be a match for any side. "More or less everyone in the team are friends and when someone doesn't get something you want to cover your mate and be there to help them. "It has been really good and we are fighting at the right end of the table. At the moment it looks like we could have a good season."
