Davies worry for Villa
Aston Villa manager Martin O'Neill has confirmed defender Curtis Davies suffered a reoccurrence an old shoulder problem against Everton.[LNB] The former West Brom stopper has been a regular for Villa this season and his importance has been increased due to captain Martin Laursen's absence.[LNB]Davies played the full 90 minutes of Villa's 3-1 FA Cup defeat to The Toffees, although it was only after the match that it became apparent he damaged his shoulder in the contest.[LNB]Scans on the injury showed some old damage and while O'Neill is not too worried right now, he fears Davies may require a spell on the sidelines if there is another reoccurrence anytime soon.[LNB]Hurt himself"Curtis hurt himself during the game at Goodison Park and he has been for a scan," O'Neill told the club's official website.[LNB]"He dislocated his shoulder four years ago and carried on in that particular game not knowing he had done some damage. The scan has shown some old damage which has just occurred again.[LNB]"He was in a bit of pain at the time but he feels okay now. He had a bit of manipulation and he felt fine again.[LNB]"He is good now but we will monitor the situation. If it occurs again, say twice in a short space of time, then that's something we would have to look at."[LNB]
