Martin O'Neill's men are due back at Bodymoor Heath on Thursday as they prepare for a tough domestic and European campaign ahead. Before they left for their summer break fitness coach Jim Henry handed every player an individual exercise programme to follow. Davies told the Birmingham Mail: "He gives you a sheet as to what he wants from you and obviously it's designed for your heart-rate, what he wants to be aiming for. We were all given a sheet and a heart-rate monitor watch. "I always look after myself anyway. They always like to say have two weeks rest and shut down for two weeks then after that start doing something and that's what I've tried to do. It's more about times than distance and it's about your heart-rate. "You have to do short sharp stuff to get your heart-rate going really high and then you do longer stuff for fat burning. There's a few different things you do, but Jim knows exactly what he's doing so the regimes he's given us are really good."
