Davies raring to go for Villa

The commanding centre-half underwent surgery on his shoulder injury in September and was expected to be out of action until the New Year.[LNB]However, he was been welcomed back into the fold last week and has shown no signs of the previous problem.[LNB]The former West Brom man is now hoping to be drafted back into Villa's starting XI by boss Martin O'Neill at some point over the Christmas period.[LNB]"I've really surprised myself coming back so soon," said Davies.[LNB]"I was told I'd be out for four months but I'm back after three.[LNB]"I've now trained three days this week without any problem and I feel fine.[LNB]"I feel I am ready to make a comeback but, obviously, I need to get some match action to really test myself."[LNB][LNB] Arsenal v Aston Villa.
