Davies laments 'worst ever' Bolton performance after Villa thrashing

Kevin Davies admitted that he produced one of his worst performances in a  Bolton shirt during the team's 5-1 thrashing at Aston Villa. [LNB]The striker added  that every outfield player produced an 'unacceptable' display during the second half and that a relegation battle will be on the cards if they do not improve.[LNB]Bolton had been in touch at half-time at Villa Park, trailing just 2-1, but  they leaked three goals in half an hour after the break. And Davies said that the whole team - including himself - should take responsibility, not just the defence.  [LNB] Under pressure: Megson needs to work on Bolton's leaky defence[LNB]'It's probably one of my worst performances and I can hold my hand  up,' said Davies. 'I'll come in next week, work hard and the derby game [against Blackburn] is my focus now.'[LNB]The match will hold added significance, not just because Davies is a former Blackburn player, but because it will pit the Trotters against former manager Sam Allardyce.[LNB]Reflecting on the Villa debacle, Davies added: 'There's nothing positive to say at  all - right from the start, when they scored early. We managed to get ourselves back in the game pretty much against the run of play but our second half  performance was unacceptable from pretty much everyone really.[LNB] All smiles: Villa celebrate Cuellar's (left) goal[LNB]'Obviously we're shipping goals. That's something we mentioned before the game.  Our clean sheet record's the worst in the Premier League and that's proved the case against Aston Villa. [LNB]Battleground: Davies (centre) jumps in with Dunne and Warnock[LNB]'We can't achieve what we want to achieve if we can't keep clean sheets. We score in pretty much every time we play but we're needing two or three goals to get anything out of the game.'[LNB]Davies also admitted that morale had suffered badly. [LNB]'Everyone in the dressing room is very down and disappointed,' he said. 'We have to look at ourselves in the  mirror, come in Monday morning and roll our sleeves up. [LNB]'We'll probably have a few players away on internationals, which isn't going to  help us, and we could do without this break coming up but we know our next game against Blackburn at home is a massive game for us. It's been a bad week or two  for us.'[LNB]'The clean sheets are a massive thing. We're leaking goals for fun at the  minute. It's not just the defence, it's right throughout the side, starting  with me, and we've got to protect Jussi a bit more. It's difficult for him. [LNB]'We're all in it together and we'll get out of it together. It's a pretty embarrassing performance from us and unacceptable. If we're not  too careful we could end up in a relegation battle and we don't want to be down  there.'
