Cuellar calls for 'solid' display

The Spaniard has reminded his team-mates that the London giants not just have a star strikeforce in Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka but possess a wealth of attacking talent in midfield. That has propelled the Blues to the top of the Premier League table after eight games, but Villa have been another of the early-season success stories. Martin O'Neill's men went on a six-game winning streak after losing their league opener against Wigan and Cuellar has formed part of an impressive new defensive unit. The 28-year-old has performed admirably at right-back while James Collins, Richard Dunne and left-back Stephen Warnock have soon settled following their recent arrivals. Now Chelsea provide their toughest test yet as Villa aim to bounce back to winning ways after losing 2-1 at Blackburn and drawing 1-1 at home to Manchester City last time out. "They have Drogba and Anelka up front - two world-class strikers," Cuellar told the club's official website. "A lot of people suggested they couldn't play together but they are in great form as a partnership now. "They have good understanding and they are both scoring goals. "But it's not just about strikers when it comes to scoring goals for Chelsea. "They have some really exciting midfielders who can get on the scoresheet - the likes of Deco and Frank Lampard. "But we must not underestimate ourselves in all this. "We have been solid and strong defensively, and our performances have been very consistent. We are defending well and we have to keep that up."
