Cottagers chief Roy Hodgson is thought to be lining up a £2million bid for the 31-year-old, who needs to be playing regularly to secure his place in Fabio Capello's England squad for the 2010 World Cup finals in South Africa.[LNB]Heskey, who has been capped 56 times, got a public rap from Villa chief Martin O'Neill recently after complaining of not getting a regular start with the midlands outfit.[LNB]Hodgson is still thought to be looking for a partner for Andy Johnson in attack, with Bobby Zamora, Diomansy Kamara and Eric Nevland failing to get the goals on a consistent basis at Craven Cottage.[LNB]Whether a move for Heskey is the answer, given the former Liverpool frontman's poor scoring record over recent years, remains to be seen.[LNB][LNB]
