Clough wants to re-sign Bannan

Derby County boss Nigel Clough admits he is keen to bring on-loan midfielder Barry Bannan back to Pride Park next season. Scottish teenager Bannan has been on loan with the Rams from Aston Villa since March and has scored once in nine appearances. He has featured twice in the Uefa Cup for Villa this term and Clough revealed the Premier League club do not want to sell the 19-year-old. However, Clough is hoping to agree another loan deal for Bannan, as he also weighs up the future of Nacer Barazite who is on loan from Arsenal. "We will have a chat about Nacer Barazite in the next week or so, and Barry Bannan, who has done ever so well for us since coming in, he will go back to Aston Villa because they want to keep him," said Clough, who will allow Przemyslaw Kazmierczak to return to Porto, in the Derby Evening Telegraph. "But he is one we would certainly look at trying to get back for next season for a loan spell. "He is a great lad to work with and most importantly he is a good player."
