Carew not chasing personal glory

Aston Villa striker John Carew insists finishing as the club's top scorer this season is not the be-all and end-all.[LNB] Carew and Gabriel Agbonlahor are currently level on 16 goals in all competitions, although the young Englishman has more Premier League strikes with 13.[LNB]While the Norwegian's primary job is to find the back of the net for Martin O'Neill's side, he is happy providing he is setting up goals for others.[LNB]Carew has never set himself goal targets in the past and insists piping Agbonlahor to the club's golden boot award is not something he is dwelling on.[LNB]"I would be more than happy for Gabi to be top scorer," explained Carew.[LNB]"I would be proud of him and if I can help him do it, that would be great.[LNB]"If I am playing well and helping others, I'm happy.[LNB]"I never set targets. It's not something I think about."[LNB]Villa remain firmly in the hunt for a fourth-place finish which would bring Champions League football next term and face a crucial clash on Saturday when they travel to fellow challengers Manchester City.
