John Carew has backed Aston Villa to qualify for the last 16 of the Uefa Cup, saying his side are more than capable of beating CSKA Moscow in Russia.[LNB] Carew, who scored a 69th minute equaliser in the first leg at Villa Park to cancel out Vagner Love's early shot, says Villa are strong enough on the road to get the result they need.[LNB]The Midlands club have performed better on the road this term than they have at Villa Park, having lost only one of their last 12 games in all competitions away from home.[LNB]With that in mind, Carew believes his side can beat CSKA Moscow on their own turf, admitting that the team are in confident mood.[LNB]Confident"We have a great chance of winning the game," he told the Birmingham Mail.[LNB]"We are playing away but we have a more than good enough team to go and beat them.[LNB]"We are going to a place that is a bit colder and that's it," he added. "We just have to be confident and take the positives from the first leg and our recent form."[LNB]Carew, who has struggled this season with injury problems, will be hoping his equaliser on Wednesday was enough to secure him a place in the starting line-up for the second leg.[LNB]"I'm just doing my best and trying to bring everything that I can do to the team," he added.[LNB]"I'm just happy to be back after the back problems."[LNB]AdaptingVilla will have to adapt to the artificial pitch at the Luzhniki Stadium as well as the much colder conditions in Russia.[LNB]"It will be a difficult game over there - very cold," said Carew.[LNB]"I have not played on the plastic pitch for a long time so I don't know how it is but we mustn't worry about that. We have to focus on our game."[LNB]
