Bouma poised for return
Wilfred Bouma is set to make his comeback from a dislocated ankle in Aston Villa's next reserve game.[LNB] The Dutch defender has been sidelined since suffering the serious injury during the Intertoto Cup clash with Odense in July.[LNB]He was poised to play in last Monday's reserve game against Arsenal but had to pull out after his leg felt sore in the morning.[LNB]Martin O'Neill has now pencilled Bouma's name in for the clash with Chelsea's second string next Monday.[LNB]"Bouma should play in the next reserve game," said the Aston Villa manager.[LNB]"He should have played last week but felt a bit sore on the day of the game.[LNB]"He will not travel to Moscow for the Uefa Cup game with CSKA but he will do some work here."[LNB]Duo sit outVilla will also leave Carlos Cuellar and Nigel Reo-Coker behind when they travel to the Russian capital on Thursday for the second leg of their Uefa Cup tie.[LNB]Both players have had hamstring injuries in recent weeks and O'Neill does not want to risk the pair, even though Cuellar was fit enough to start Villa's defeat to Chelsea on Saturday.[LNB]O'Neill said: "Cuellar will not be going to Moscow. He played at the weekend but, regardless of whether he played or not, I was not going to subject him to the travelling and playing on the plastic pitch - and the same goes with Reo-Coker.[LNB]"They will spend the week getting ready (for Sunday's game with Stoke)."[LNB]
