The Dutchman is set to leave Villa in the summer, having not featured for the Premier League outfit since July 2008.
Bouma, who has also been linked with a move to Wolves, is believed to want to remain in England's top flight but his agent, Gerrit Lagendijk, is in no rush to find him a new club.
He told the Express & Star: "I have heard some rumours but nobody has come to me. At the moment we have received two phone calls from Dutch teams.
"We haven't heard anything else, but he was only released (on Thursday) and it will take some time. We're not in a rush.
"To be honest he would prefer to remain in England, but only if there was a good offer and a good club."
