Birmingham and Villa fans arrested following derby day at St Andrews

A total of 14 football supporters were arrested during and after Birmingham's derby clash with Aston Villa. West Midlands Police confirmed that seven fans of both sides were detained inside and outside St Andrews as Villa won 1-0 at their city rivals on Sunday.   Narrow margin: Gabriel Agbonlahor won the match for Aston Villa A force spokesman said four Villa supporters were charged with encroaching on the pitch, while two others were given fixed penalty notices for public order offences. Meanwhile, seven home supporters were released on police bail pending further inquiries, including a woman who was arrested on suspicion of assault.
