Aston Villa step up their chase for defender Maynor Figueroa

Aston Villa are intensifying their efforts to sign Maynor Figueroa after clearing the way for Stephen Warnock to return to Liverpool on loan.[LNB] Warnock has fallen out of favour under Gerard Houllier at Villa Park and is considering an opportunity to solve Liverpool's left-back problem by rejoining them for the rest of the season.[LNB] Target: Wigan's Maynor Figueroa (right)[LNB] While Houllier also likes Wigan striker Hugo Rodallega, his main target at the DW Stadium is attacking Honduran left back Figueroa.
