[LNB]A deal for the Aston Villa winger was put in place before he flew to Las Vegas on holiday two weeks ago. And Young quickly completed his medical assessment at Manchester's Bridgewater hospital yesterday after returning from America on Monday.[LNB] United are expected to announce the completion of the transfer today, meaning that manager Sir Alex Ferguson has already spent more than ?30m this summer after landing defender Phil Jones from Blackburn for ?16.5m earlier this month. [LNB]Carlos Tevez's hopes, meanwhile, of engineering a move away from Manchester City have taken a huge turn for the worse after Inter Milan revealed they cannot afford to sign him. [LNB]Tevez - City's captain last year - has made no secret of his desire to leave the Barclays Premier League, claiming that he is too far away from his children back home in Argentina.[LNB] But, with City demanding a transfer fee of ?50m and Tevez earning in excess of ?250,000 a week, there are only a handful of clubs who could afford to buy the striker. [LNB]Last night Italian giants Inter appeared to suggest they are not one of them. Inter sporting director Marco Branca said: 'Tevez is a great player but absolutely "no". His salary means it is out of the question. The market is crazy at the moment and it's hard to compete.'[LNB] [LNB] McLeish to start Villa career by selling Ashley Young to UnitedCity's ?35m swoop for Sanchez back on after late hitch in winger's move to BarcaAmbitious Paris St Germain to test Man United's resolve with Berba bidLens reject bids for teen sensation and Man United target VaraneAll the latest Manchester United FC news, features and opinionAll the latest Aston Villa FC news, features and opinion[LNB] [LNB]  Explore more:People: Alex Ferguson, Ashley Young, Nani, Alex McLeish
