Ash: Villa even hungrier for CL

The England winger admitted the five-day break came at a perfect time for Martin O'Neill's squad ahead of the final 10 games of the campaign.[LNB]Villa had looked to be feeling the strain of playing competitively since mid-July because of the Intertoto Cup after a six-game sequence without a win.[LNB]But Young is confident Villa can sustain their challenge for a top-four finish, especially if they repeat their away form in front of their own fans - starting with Sunday's meeting with Tottenham.[LNB]Young said: "We've had a good break and it was needed. Since we have come back everyone has been firing in training and looking forward to the last 10 games of the season.[LNB]"We had played a lot of games. We came back early and started playing before a lot of sides so the break was ideal. Everyone is refreshed and looking forward to Sunday's game.[LNB]"It was nice to take in the sun, get in some training away from the cold of England and it has made us even hungrier now to achieve what we want.[LNB]"If everyone had said to us at the start of the season we would be in this position with 10 games to go, we would have bitten their hands off.[LNB]"We've had a brilliant season, we want to disrupt what is the normal top four and at the moment we are there. That is what we want to try and hold on to."[LNB]Young insisted the Villa players would not lose their nerve as they looked to stay ahead of Arsenal in the race for a Champions League place.[LNB]He said: "There are no nerves at all and we are not looking behind us. We are looking ahead.[LNB]"We have had a blip but everyone goes through those. With the strength of characters we have got here, I know we will be able to bounce back from that.[LNB]"People ask about Arsenal but we are not concentrating on Arsenal. Our main focus is first of all Sunday and then the next 10 games.[LNB]"We know Tottenham are a good side who can play open football and cause a lot of damage and we've got to be wary of that but our own form is also good."[LNB]Villa have managed only five wins in 14 league games at home - compared to 10 victories on their travels.[LNB]Young said: "If you asked everyone around the club, they can't put their finger why our home form is like it is.[LNB]"It has not been as good as when we've played away. The recent home game with Stoke felt like a defeat after we had been 2-0 up with a few minutes to go and looked so comfortable.[LNB]"But we are still fourth with 10 games to go and that is the most important thing. We are looking to change that home form around."[LNB][LNB]
