Speculation claimed Turkish giants Fenerbahce were plotting a £5million bid to prise Carew away from Villa in the New Year.[LNB]The former Besiktas frontman has been a regular in Villa's attack this season and Martin O'Neill would be reluctant to lose the imposing Norwegian.[LNB]Though the 30-year-old's representative Per A. Flod is not ruling out an exit at the end of the campaign, he insists Carew will be staying at Villa Park in the immediate future.[LNB]"Something will happen during the summer of 2010, either an extension or a transfer," said Flod to Dagbladet.[LNB]"John might also play out his contract, but I don't think Villa are interested in that.[LNB]"It's no news that Fenerbahce wants John, that has been known for three years now.[LNB]"Soon, the rumours about Panathinaikos will reappear too!"[LNB][LNB] Man.
