Agbonlahor: New boys settling in

Aston Villa forward Gabriel Agbonlahor says he is very impressed by the club's young new recruits.

Joe Bennett, Matthew Lowton and Ashley Westwood all arrived at Villa Park during the summer transfer window and Agbonlahor thinks they have settled in well. Lowton has made nine appearances for Villa this season, scoring once, Bennett has featured on four occasions so far, and Westwood has appeared twice off the bench. There were concerns about the trio's lack of top-flight experience but Agbonlahor said:

"The more games they play, they will learn and get better, and I think that is showing already.

"It is good from the gaffer's point of view that he has faith in these players and, especially in training, people have done really well.

"One example is Ashley Westwood, who has come into training and not looked out of place. He's done really well and not looked different to any other player in the squad.

"So I think the gaffer has made his choices and he's made them because he thinks those players can do it and so far, in training and in games, they have shown that they can.

"They don't look fazed by the pressure. They have just come in and looked as if they have played 30 or 40 games."
