Agbonlahor added to Under 21s

Aston Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor has been called into the England Under 21 squad for the games against Norway and France.[LNB] Agbonlahor was overlooked by Fabio Capello for the senior squad for the upcoming friendly against Slovakia and 2010 World Cup qualifier with Ukraine.[LNB]The youngster had started England's last match against Spain in February, but is currently experiencing a poor run in front of goal.[LNB]He has netted just once in his last 16 appearances for Villa and was dropped to the bench for Sunday's 5-0 defeat at title-chasing Liverpool.[LNB]Agbonlahor has now been drafted into Stuart Pearce's Under 21 plans for the friendly double-header and will be in contention for a starting role.[LNB]Pearce has also added defensive duo Ryan Shawcross and Martin Cranie to his squad following changes to his original selection.[LNB]Steven Taylor and Theo Walcott have withdrawn due to injury, while Tottenham winger Aaron Lennon has been called into the senior squad.[LNB]
