In 1894 they became the founding members of the Kent League. Playing at Godinton Road they staged the KCFA Senior Cup final in 1899, they subsequently lost the both finals in 1902 and 1903.
Following a sorting of the non league structure in the season of 2004/05 they transferred to the Ryman Isthmian League following a spell of 45 years in the Southern league. They did however have a difficult season due to managerial changes and finished 20th.
