Vucinic backs Roma to succeed

AS Roma striker Mirko Vucinic believes his team are now the favourites to grab the Serie A title, after they replaced current holders Internazionale at the top of the table at the weekend.

Inter only managed a 2-2 draw at Fiorentina while the Romans secured a 2-1 home success over Atalanta to replace Jose Mourinho's men at the summit with just five games of the season to go.

The win extended their undefeated run in the league to a massive 23 games and with the Eternal City derby clash against Lazio up next, it is expected to be their biggest obstacle as their campaign comes to a close.

Speaking to Sky Italia, Vucinic said: "It's important to continue like this. It is a wonderful thing, let's hope it lasts.

"Every match is difficult. We all know the importance of the derby.

"But our group is always united and sacrifice is what makes all the difference."
