Roma legend Francesco Totti is set to miss the Europa League last-32 clash with Panathinaikos on Thursday after contracting a bout of flu.
The Giallorosso striker has been unable to train with the team and coach Claudio Ranieri has left for Greece without his talismanic play-maker.
He already has a doubt over the fitness of Daniele de Rossi, who suffered a muscular injury at the weekend.
Totti will miss Sunday's Serie A game against Catania through suspension but is expected to be available for the second-leg showdown against Panathinaikos at Stadio Olimpico on February 25.
The winners of the tie will face Standard Liege or Salzburg in the next stage of the competition.
