Totti finally pens Roma deal

Roma captain Francesco Totti has finally penned a contract extension that will keep him in the Italian capital until the end of the 21013-14 campaign.

The 33-year-old has spent his entire senior career with the club, scoring almost 200 goals in over 400 appearances since making his first-team debut in 1992.

Totti, who was part of the Italy squad that won the World Cup in 2006, was set to become a free agent next summer.

A statement from the club read: "AS Roma and captain Francesco Totti announce they have reached an agreement to extend the contract, currently ending in June 2010, until June 2014.

"The player will receive 8.6million euros per season."
