Totti blast lands him in trouble

Roma talisman Francesco Totti has landed himself in hot water after suggesting his club were robbed of two Serie A titles.

The Giallorossi captain made the comments at a press conference on Tuesday and the Italian Football Federation have not taken kindly to his words.

Totti had suggested that certain referees handed Intenazionale some generous decisions during last season and the 2007/8 campaign.

Inter went on to win both Scudettos and Totti had suggested: "Maybe others are stronger, but they have always been granted favours. We have been robbed of two titles."

However, the FIGC produced a statement reading: "The Giallorossi player expressed, in the judgement of the federal prosecutor, 'opinions damaging the prestige, reputation and credibility of the referee, federal institutions as a whole and a club operating within the FIGC'.
