Roma manager Luciano Spalletti has admitted that Alberto Aquilani's imminent move to Liverpool will be a major blow to the Giallorossi. The Reds have identified Aquilani as Xabi Alonso's replacement after the Spain international completed his transfer to Real Madrid on Wednesday. A fee of around £20million is reported to have been agreed for Italy international Aquilani s proposed move to Anfield. But, speaking to Corriere dello Sport, Spalletti said: "We have to accept this, and we now have to do all we can to re-create a group of players that will be good enough to win the championship in the future. "We wish him well, but we are focusing on the players we have, and those we have to work with."
