Spalletti rumours quashed

AS Roma's sporting director Bruno Conti has quashed speculation suggesting Luciano Spalletti is on the verge of leaving the club.

Roma have endured a topsy-turvy season and are currently sixth in the Serie A table with four games of the season remaining.

Spalletti has recently been linked with AC Milan and Juventus, but Conti expects him to still be in the Italian capital next term.

"Spalletti will be Roma's coach next season. I can't see a problem," he told Il Corriere Dello Sport.

"He has a contract of two years and, to be honest, I don't even want to think about bringing in an alternative coach.

"We are totally focussed on the season's run in as we want to qualify with a European place."
