Roma wait on injured Toni's scan
25 Jan 2010 - 09:46:15
Italy international Luca Toni could be sidelined for up to a month after suffering a calf injury during Roma's 2-1 victory against Juventus in Turin.
Toni, who is on loan at Roma from Bayern Munich until the end of the season, limped out of the action after only three minutes.
The 32-year-old will have a scan on the injury but initial estimates suggest he could be out of action for four weeks.
Meanwhile, defender Marco Motta is being linked with a move to Manchester City.
Roma's sporting director, Daniele Prade, was quoted as saying: "I've spoken with Giuseppe Bozzo, Motta's agent, who confirmed the interest of Manchester City.
"There is a possibility of a loan but I have not spoken with the English club. There are some things to consider because the player is in a co-ownership between Roma and Udinese."
