Ranieri rues absence of Mourinho

Roma coach Claudio Ranieri believes Serie A will be a poorer place for losing Jose Mourinho this season. The outspoken Portuguese regularly jousted verbally with Ranieri last season as Inter won a treble of domestic league and cup and also the Champions League. He has since moved on to Real Madrid and Ranieri has been left to rue the exit of the man who replaced him in the hot-seat at former club Chelsea. "Surely the Italian league lost a great protagonist," he claimed. "(Inter replacement Rafael) Benitez has a different character."
