Roma head coach Claudio Ranieri has played down talk of his side having opened up the Serie A title race by pulling to within five points of leaders Internazionale.
A Mirko Vucinic goal gave Ranieri's side a narrow 1-0 win over Catania on Sunday afternoon, after Inter had been held to a goalless draw at home to Sampdoria the previous day.
However, a cautious Ranieri told Sky Italia: "Honestly, no, I don't think the race has re-opened. We are doing a great job, but our ambition remains the Europa League.
"There was a lot of tension in the build-up to the game given our desire to take the three points.
"We knew the visitors would set up a wall at the back, but my side did well to find the goal that unblocked the encounter in our favour.
"I think Inter have another gear and given the way they played in nine men against Sampdoria, I still don't feel we are on that level."
