Roma's France international central defender Philippe Mexes has played down rumours linking him with a summer move to Serie A rivals Juventus.
The 27-year-old is under contract at the Stadio Olimpico until the summer of 2011 and is content to stay put, as long as he remains a regular starter for the club from the capital.
Mexes told Il Tempo: "I have this and another year left on my contract, so there is time to evaluate the situation.
"I am settled here, I've said it before and we'll see what happens. I want to stay, but of course it does not depend only on me.
"I am 27 and I need to be playing. Everything is okay now, I have suffered several injuries and the team have reacted well.
"Things are working out wonderfully. Then again, it would be perfect if I played more."
