Guberti set for Samp loan

Stefano Guberti's agent has revealed that midfielder Stefano Guberti has agreed a loan switch from Roma to Sampdoria.

Claudio De Nicola believes the 25-year-old's temporary move will be finalised later this week.

He said: "There is no certainty until contracts are signed, but I would say there is a 90 per cent chance of the deal going through.

"Roma have agreed to an outright loan deal until the end of the season and an official announcement is imminent."

Guberti joined Roma on a free transfer from Ascoli last summer but he has gone on to make only five starts for the club as well as featuring in four games from the substitute's bench.

If the loan switch is finalised, Roma will step up their chase for Atletico Paranaense winger Marcio Azevedo.
