Brazil goalkeeper Alexander Doni is eager to remain with Roma and battle to regain a regular starting spot.
The 30-year-old lost his place to Julio Sergio last season, but with his compatriot out injured and replacement Bogdan Lobont struggling in the 3-1 Italian Super Cup loss to Internazionale, Doni may be back in the reckoning.
He told reporters: "I have a contract until 2012 and my future depends on Roma.
"I am really eager and want to make a comeback and prove myself. I want to be important for this team, after my knee injury which really hurt me.
"They have to tell me what is going on. I am happy to stay and return to the first team, which is why I am working so hard."
