Roma right-back Cicinho has welcomed rumoured interest in him from Barcelona, but insists that he would rather head home to Brazil.
The 29-year-old has struggled to make a mark during two seasons in Italian football, having moved to Europe in 2005 to join Real Madrid.
He told Globoesporte.com: "I came to know about Barcelona's interest through the press. No official offer has been made to me.
"It's normal that I'm happy that a great club like Barca is interested in me, but my own wish at the moment is to return to Brazil.
"I don't feel happy in Europe and I've been trying to do this for two years.
"I've also spoken several times to Sao Paolo president Juvenal Juvencio, but Roma won't release me."
