Cicinho leaves Roma on loan

Roma have allowed Cicinho to rejoin Brazilian side Sao Paulo on loan until the end of the season.

The 29-year-old defender has started only 44 matches for the club since arriving in the Eternal City in the summer of 2007.

His only two starts for the Italian side this season came in the Europa League clashes against Fulham.

A statement on Sao Paulo's official website read: "Cicinho is back with Sao Paulo and the AS Roma right-back arrives on loan until June 30.

"If Sao Paulo advance in the Copa Libertadores then Roma have agreed to extend the loan period. We are currently awaiting documents from Roma so we can complete the player's registration."
