Cassetti ecstatic with winner

AS Roma defender Marco Cassetti was overjoyed after coming off the bench to score the winner in the Rome derby against Lazio on Sunday evening.

The victory took Claudio Ranieri's Giallorossi outfit a point behind Parma, who sit in the fourth and final Champions League place in the Serie A table.

Lazio dominated for large spells and Roma rode their luck when Mauro Zarate struck a post and keeper Julio Sergio pulled off a stunning stop to block a close-range Stefano Mauri effort.

Speaking to reporters, Cassetti said:"It's the best possible feeling for a Roma player to score in a derby.

"I didn't have the strength to celebrate it because I couldn't believe it. I have never scored such an important goal."
