Barcelona link flatters Riise

AS Roma defender John Arne Riise has admitted to being flattered by reports that he has been targeted by Barcelona.

The Norway full-back is believed to be wanted by the European champions for next season after catching their eye during his first season in Serie A.

Riise arrived in Rome last summer after spending eight years with Liverpool.

"It's flattering and great to be linked with a club like Barcelona," he said.

"They have clearly been the best club all year, but I am a Roma player and this is just a rumour."
