Roma midfielder Alberto Aquilani has signed a contract extension to keep him at the club until the summer of 2013. The 24-year-old has struggled with injuries for much of the current campaign and has not started a game since late January, but has still been linked with a number of other clubs. Aquilani told tuttomercatoweb: "I thank president Rosella Sensi for giving me the opportunity to continue a dream in my city with the team that belongs in my heart. "I want to give my best for these fans, something I have not been able to do because of my physical problems." Italy international Aquilani has spent the whole of his professional career with his home town club, although he spent the 2003-04 season out on loan with Triestina.
